When Jack, her stalker, reveals himself and insists that Kara has something that belongs to him, she does her best to avoid him. But he’s determined to talk to her, convinced that they’re linked through the blood she received during her transfusion.

Jack is struggling against a dark and dangerous demon. His body is host to the evil power that wants Kara’s blood and will stop at nothing to get it. If Jack is able to gain control he can warn Kara. But which is stronger, the power of the blood they share or the force for evil. How can Kara help save Jack without risking her own life?

My Review:

When I read the synopsis of ‘Blood Entwines’ I was immediately fascinated. This book sounded really exciting so I soon signed up for the blog tour and I started reading a view days ago.

In ‘Blood Entwines’ we meet Kara. Kara has had a rough time lately. Her dad died and now she is just alone with her stepmother. One day Kara is involved in a car accident and she almost doesn’t survive. Luckily for Kara a blood transfusion saves her life. But ever since that transfusion everything is changed. Kara feels different and acts differently. When Kara meets Jack, a stranger who stalks Kara since coming out of the hospital she finds out that he knows exactly what is wrong with her. But Jack doesn’t want anything to do with Kara, he just wants back what is his.

From the beginning of this book I was compelled by this story. I really wanted to know what was the deal with this blood transfusion and what role Jack would have in this story. I just really didn’t want to stop reading. I really enjoyed Caroline Healy’s writing style. Especially the way we meet the different characters in the beginning. I enjoyed reading about the characters and their different lives. And this book really was original. I never read a book about this kind of thing.

What I found frustrating about this book was the way it was just a little confusing sometimes. In the beginning of the book you read a lot about Ben and Ashleigh. But somehow at the ending of the book their story was just not relevant in my opinion. I just didn’t really get what their role was in this book. What I also found a little distracting was the way you don’t understand what is going on for the main part of this book. The author leaves you to guess for yourself a lot and that bothered me a little. There isn’t a lot explained in this book and now my mind just won’t stop thinking about what could have happened.

But overall I found this a very enjoyable story. I found Kara a likable character and I could relate to her on some points. This book was easy to read and it definitely kept me interested. I wonder what will happen next to Kara?!!
