Review 'Every Little Thing' by Samantha Young

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/32335136-every-little-thing
The quiet town of Hartwell is the perfect place to get away from it all - and find what you never knew you needed . . .

Bailey Hartwell has many reasons to feel content - her successful business, a close circle of friends and her steady boyfriend . . . even if their romance feels staid after ten years without a serious commitment. The only challenge in her life comes in the form of sexy businessman Vaughn Tremaine. She thinks the ex-New Yorker acts superior and that he considers her a small-town nobody. But when Bailey's blindsided by a betrayal, she's shocked to discover Vaughn is actually a decent guy.

Vaughn admires Bailey's free spirit, independence and loyalty. As his passion for her has grown, his antagonism toward her has only worsened. Every little thing Bailey does seduces him. But when Vaughn's painful emotional past makes him walk away in fear he will hurt her, it opens an old wound in Bailey, and she uncharacteristically retreats.

Once Vaughn begins to realise he's made the biggest mistake of his life, he has no choice but to fight like he's never fought before to convince Bailey that the love they've found together only comes around once in a lifetime . . .

My Review:

A view months ago I read the first book in the Hart’s Boardwalk series called ‘The One Real Thing’. I loved that book. The setting was great, the characters amazing and I couldn’t wait to read ‘Every Little Thing’, the second book in the series. And finally the book was there and I requested it ASAP on Netgalley. And as fast as I could I started reading.

In ‘Every Little Thing’ we meet Bailey Hartwell and Vaughn Tremaine. Bailey is a successful inn owner, with lots of friends and great neighbors. She seems to have everything she needs. But when Bailey get betrayed everything seems to fall apart. And the thing Bailey hates most, is the way Vaughn makes her feel.
Vaughn is desperate to keep Bailey out of his mind. He isn’t the right guy for her, and she seems to hate his guts. But somehow he just can’t stay away of the beautiful redheaded woman and he does everything to make sure she is okay.

We already met Bailey and Vaughn in the first book, so I was thrilled to read their story. There was already this amazing chemistry in the short moments we read about them in the first book so I just knew this book would be pretty damn hot. And it was. I just loved Bailey and Vaughn. They were perfect for each other, but of course they didn’t see it like that themselves. They were harsh and cruel with each other, and I was just waiting for them to finally give in to those feelings. Of course they were very stubborn and things got tough.. but in the end. Sigh.. I love this series.

The best thing about this series is definitely the setting and the characters. The little town of Hartwell is just my dream town. It’s small, cozy, neighbors take care of each other and there is a nice tourist flow to keep things interesting. I would definitely like to life in this town. And the characters are just so interesting and fun.

‘Every Little Thing’ is my third Samantha Young read, and I must say I really love her writing. Her writing is fun, interesting, sexy and very romantic. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I saw some hints throughout this book about two other characters and I can’t wait to read their story.

If you haven’t started the Hart’s Boardwalk series, you should definitely start now!
