My Favorite.. Place To Read

My Favorite.. is a weekly meme hosted by Maureen’s Books. In this meme we share every week something we love with each other. Because let’s face it.. The world can be a dark place and it’s time to share something positive. For more info: My Favorite Meme.

As a fanatic reader I have many places I like to sit and read. When I travel with the train I love sitting there, surrounded by the noise from other travelers, reading my book and glancing out the window every ones in a while. When the sun is shining, and the temperature is good, I love reading on our balcony surrounded by the birds. I loved sitting on our balcony in Switzerland last May and being surrounded by the mountains. Nothing could top that really.. But what is my (realistic) favorite place to read?

Although I have this dream of one day owning this comfortable love seat with lots of pillows and a blanket, surrounded by my books, at the moment my favorite place to read is on our couch. It’s not a very comfortable couch really, but I love reading there with my fiancé sitting next to me. From that place on the couch I can overlook the living room and see all our holiday pictures, and there’s a nice reading light that offers me a place to read while my fiancé can watch television without being bothered by the light.

Reading in bed is definitely next on my list of favorite places to read, but lately every time I’ve wanted to try and read in bed before sleep I end up falling asleep before I can blink. Whahaha.. I definitely can’t read in bed at the moment.

What is your favorite place to read?

  2. Having a favorite place to read is nice. I think reading outside is nice, and yes a balcony in Switzerland sounds pretty good! I've never read on a train but I think it would be relaxing in its own way.

    1. It's definitely relaxing to read in a train. Especially since I usually need to travel by car and are in a lot of traffic jams. And obviously I can't really read then.
      Thanks for stopping by Greg!
